Jun 12,2025
On the morning of June 11, 2025, at the SNEC PV Expo in Shanghai, Jiangsu Worldlight New Material (hereinafter referred to as "Worldlight New Materials"), Shanghai Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Design Co., Ltd., and Arremon Industrial Fastening Systems (Zhenjiang) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Arremon") successfully signed the "Joint Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Innovative Solutions for Offshore Photovoltaic Power Plants" at Worldlight's booth (2.2HA150) at the SNEC Expo. The three parties will engage in in-depth cooperation around corrosion-resistant and highly stable offshore photovoltaic solutions, jointly setting a new benchmark for green energy.

Strong collaboration to tackle technical challenges in offshore photovoltaic technology.
Due to the special environment of high salt mist and high humidity, traditional metal frames used in offshore photovoltaic power stations are prone to corrosion, which shortens the lifespan of modules and drives up maintenance costs. This collaboration leverages the technological strengths of all three parties: Worldlight New Materials, as the market leader in photovoltaic composite frame technology, provides corrosion-resistant, lightweight frame products; the Shanghai Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Design, drawing on its extensive experience in power station design, is responsible for optimizing the overall solution; and Aremont develops matching anti-corrosion fastening systems to ensure structural safety. The integrated solution—comprising "design scheme—anti-corrosion fasteners—anti-corrosion frames"—jointly developed by the three parties will fill a gap in the offshore PV market.
The signing ceremony was held with great solemnity, jointly drawing up a blueprint for cooperation.
Mr. Zhao Shijie, Chairman of Worldlight New Materials, Ms. Zhu Xiaoliu, Vice President of Worldlight New Materials, Mr. Zhan Bin, Marketing Director of Worldlight New Materials, Mr. Cheng Guojie, Director of the Environmental Engineering Design Research Institute at Shanghai Municipal Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Design Co., Ltd., Mr. Zuo Xun, Director of the Marketing Center, Mr. Liu Zhipeng, Senior Technical Manager, Mr. Wei Jianqiang, Director of China Business Development at Allemont Energy, Mr. Chen Wansheng, Director of the China Market Department at Allemont, Mr. Liu Baojia, Director of the Allemont China Innovation Center, and Mr. Jonathan Fenoll, Global Base Business Director at Allemont Energy, all attended this event.

Mr. Zhao Shijie, Chairman of Worldlight New Materials, stated: “Composite material frames offer excellent corrosion resistance. Combined with Aremon’s specialized fastening system and the optimized design solutions from the Shanghai Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Design, we will provide offshore photovoltaic power plants with a more reliable and cost-effective solution.”

Mr. Cheng Guojie, Director of the Environmental Engineering Design Research Institute and General Manager of Shanghai Municipal Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Design Co., Ltd., pointed out: “Offshore photovoltaics represent an important direction for the development of new energy in China. Through tripartite cooperation, we will fully leverage our respective professional strengths to jointly build offshore photovoltaic projects that are corrosion-resistant and highly stable.”

Mr. Wei Jianqiang, Director of Business Development for Armon Energy in China, stated: “Armon Energy’s rapid-installation photovoltaic solutions have now achieved a global cumulative installed capacity exceeding 16 GW, and have been successfully deployed in a variety of application scenarios—including tracking systems, fixed installations, commercial and industrial rooftops, PV carports, villa rooftops, and building façades. Innovation is not only in Armon’s DNA; it also embodies our core values. We have already developed numerous innovative installation solutions in new materials such as composite material frames and lightweight components, and we are currently collaborating with partners to explore new high-strength, corrosion-resistant metal coating technologies.”
This tripartite strategic collaboration marks the first time that Alimoon Energy has teamed up with a design institute to jointly develop a high-strength, highly corrosion-resistant, rapid-installation solution for offshore photovoltaic systems. I am confident that through the combined strengths and concerted efforts of all three parties, we will accelerate the development of offshore PV design standards and installation guidelines, thereby ensuring the reliable operation of offshore PV systems throughout their entire lifecycle and promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.

Under the agreement, the three parties will share resources, engage in joint innovation, and consider renewing the partnership based on the results of their collaboration. In the future, this cooperation is expected to become a major driving force behind the large-scale application of offshore photovoltaic technology in China.
