On 13 June 2024, SNEC, the world's leading PV event, opened at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center.

On 13 June 2024, SNEC, the world's leading PV event, opened at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. The three-day exhibition attracted more than 500,000 professional visitors, industry elites and exhibitors.  Worldlight, as the technology and market leader of GFRP for PV composite frames, made a big splash at the exhibition, showcasing its mass-produced GFRP solutions after many technological innovations. These solutions include the latest structural design, the latest bolt mounting method, the third generation composite corner code, and the advanced coating technology with anti-scratch and anti-slip features. These technological innovations and comprehensive solutions attracted the attention of many customers at home and abroad, who said that this year's technological solutions have made significant progress and breakthroughs compared with last year's, and are the most advanced and mature mass-production solutions in the field of GFRP at present.

With its double advantages in technology and market, more than 15 famous domestic and foreign module manufacturers chose PV modules with  Worldlight's GFRP as their new products to be displayed in this exhibition, which is a number that is far ahead of others in the exhibition.

Component Showcase

On the afternoon of 13th June, NPQIC held a grand ceremony to award the first batch of ‘National Preferred Products’ test certificates based on IEC 63556 for PV materials in all application scenarios in the world. Bao Jun, Director, President and Secretary of Party Committee of NPQIC, Zhao Liang, Chairman of Wolai New Material, Zhao Dongming, Director of Clean Energy Research Institute of China Huaneng Group and other leaders and guests attended this historic moment.

Worldlight GFRP products have been subjected to stringent full-scene sequential aging tests, including desert dry heat, ecological lakes, ice and snow polar regions, deep blue ocean and other environments, and all of them have performed excellently. These products are deeply customised to meet the stringent requirements for corrosion resistance, salt spray resistance, low temperature resistance, UV resistance, wind and sand resistance in special application environments. As the world's first GFRP manufacturer to pass the third-party authoritative full-scenario comprehensive aging test, Wolai always adheres to the customer's needs as the guide, and constantly develops new products adapted to special environments, leading the technological development of the composite bezel industry.

In Session 3 of the Global Photovoltaic Technology Forum, Zhu Yangyang, Director of Marketing Department of  Worldlight New Material, made a special report titled ‘The Road of Technological Leadership of GFRP for PV Composite Frames’. He elaborated in detail how Wolai focuses on the reliability, convenience and cost advantages of GFRP around the needs of customers, and realises technology iteration and leadership in structural design, installation method, connection method and coating design.  Worldlight journey from technology leadership to market leadership was highly recognised by industry colleagues.
