On April 21, 2026, the first meeting of the Second Committee of the Photovoltaic Auxiliary Materials and Components Product Professional Committee of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) was successfully held in Yinchuan, Ningxia. Representatives from 116 member units—including glass, encapsulant film, backsheet, frame, junction box, and module enterprises, as well as power generation groups—attended the meeting to jointly discuss the high-quality development of the industry. During the event, Jiangsu Worldlight was officially elected as the vice-chairman unit of the new professional committee. Relying on its profound industrial accumulation and cutting-edge technological strength, the company has once again consolidated its leading position in the industry.
As a technology leader in the photovoltaic composite frame industry, Worldlight New Material has led and participated in the entire process of this industry standard, including project initiation, discussion, experimental verification, and formulation planning. Backed by years of R&D experience, independent core patents, mass application in modules, and outdoor empirical data from large-scale power plants, Worldlight provided a comprehensive set of core technical parameters and normative benchmarks. This contribution significantly facilitated the scientific formulation and rigorous implementation of the industry standard.
The formulation of this industry standard has been officially launched. The meeting invited project owners such as Huaneng, China Resources, and Datang, alongside leading module manufacturers including LONGi, Tongwei, Trina Solar, JA Solar, and Canadian Solar. Guided by a user-oriented approach, this standard will fill the gap in unified specifications for photovoltaic composite frames and serve as the sole authoritative reference for the production, testing, supply, and acceptance of photovoltaic module products. It is designed to resolve pain points such as inconsistent standards and acceptance difficulties, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of photovoltaic modules and power stations for 30 years.
The recruitment of participating units for this standard was completed prior to the kick-off meeting. The list of participating entities involved in the standard's formulation is centrally managed by the TC90 National Technical Committee on Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems.
